This is killing me inside, really want it. What size tyres does it have with the mudguards on?
-
• #4
Gav - I reckon about 32c. The last photo is with 28 randos which are fairly chunky and I seem to remember there was still a fair bit of clearance.

What's the length of the steerer left, any idea on what the distance of top of bar from floor is as per the photo?
EDIT: Never mind, didn't see/read the 1" forks.

There's about 5.5cm of steerer above the head tube. Comes with the shim to use with a a-head stem.

Oh sad day, perfect size for me and absolute bargain, no funds.
Don't suppose you fancy holding it till april? Could pay a deposit...

hmm maybe I should buy it now and then sell it to you in April when hopefully my frame should be ready.

Brian Rourke Light Touring Frame 59x57
I bought this frame from the original owner as a complete bike, who had it custom-made by Rourke Cycles (and happens to be one of the British Cycling Senior Management). He didn't use it as much as he intended, I think a maximum of 800 miles. I've used the frame for 6 months of commuting and a short, loaded tour around Sussex.
Measurements:
Seat tube (CTC): 59cm
Seat tube (CTT): 63cm
Top tube (CTC): 57cm
Head tube: 17cm
Condition:
The paint and chrome are in very good condition but there are few very small paint chips on the frame; about 7 on the top tube (all just 1-2mm in size), 1 on the seat tube and down tube (2-3mm), 4 on the seat stays and 1 on the drive-side chain stay near the bottom bracket. These are all minor and most hardly noticeable, but I wanted to list every little detail.
The other 'sticking point' is a burr about 3 inches down inside the seat tube. This restricts how far the seat post will go down. I imagine this could be smoothed out quite easily if taken to a frame builder but I'll include the cut-down ITM seat post I used with the frame.
This is a lovely British-made frame and rides great loaded and un-loaded - perfect for a 2014 summer tour.
Price: £250 (frame, forks, headset and cut-down seat post)
