(It shouldn't be, but) it's a big moment for the NFL. Shows that there are at least some in the sport who aren't homophobic. He did get picked 7th last, after being predicted to be a 3rd round pick before his annoucement, but at least he got picked

He had a horrible combine and scouts started to doubt if he had the size for defensive end or the speed for LB in the pros. Him being gay probably didn't help but big reasons he dropped were football related. After the combine he was predicted to go between 6th round and not drafted at all.

I'm glad he got picked up though and was hoping my team (the 49ers) would be the ones to get him. I feel like the presence of cake ruined an otherwise very touching moment.

Well here we are again. First season I will watch from start to finish (I moved last year in week 2).

I watched the Bills - Bears game, which was super tight, and now my #niners are killing it against Dallas. 28-3 going into half time
