• [st]Up for sale is my Giant Team Track Frame, full carbon forks, and headset. I believe these are essentially the same as the contemporary Giant Omnium frames (geometry-wise) but have a special paint finish due to sponsorship from T-Mobile.

It's a few years old. I bought it from Laner (on this forum) but to be honest I have never actually ridden it! Lack of time to go to the track, along with a lack of motivation and a desire to finally slim down my bike stable means its up for sale again. Hopefully it will be useful to someone who will actually use it on an actual track this season... rather than it sitting un-used in my living room.

I am told these build up very light and stiff, which seems about right but I don't have a scale to confirm exact weight.

    (Click for a bigger pic)

    Here's some more info:

Geometry: 53cm effective top tube (50cm seat tube, but it's compact geo so it fits people who'd normally ride a 53 or 54 - for reference I am about 170cm / 5'7" tall with a 30.5" inside leg).

Materials: Aluminium alloy frame with a full carbon fork.

Headset is integrated and I recently got and installed a set of replacement bearing cartridges for it.

Details: Takes a standard 27.2 seatpost, 120mm rear hub, 1 1/8" fork steerer.

Condition: frame is good with some marking but nothing at all structural that I can see. BB shell is faced and threads are good. Headbadge (which is just a bit of 'chrome effect' plastic has come off but it was only ever glued on to the headtube, so could be easily out back.
Fork has some slight laquer peeling on the crown and a scratch on the top of the steerer. Doesn't look like an issue to me, but standard caveats for used carbon apply, i.e. please make sure you're satisfied with condition before buying.

**Price: ** £SOLD (frame, forks, and headset) collected from Camberwell SE5. Collection from elsewhere may be possible but PM me to arrange. I'm not going to post it just yet (sorry) as it's a lot of hassle, but may reconsider if there is no interest.

    Thanks for reading.[/st]

    Now sold.

  • Bargain that.

  • Here's a pic of the frame with wheels in, to give an idea of geometry. I'm sorry for the dim lighting in my flat.

To the best of my knowledge, the frame is equivalent to the 2008 omnium that can be seen here, only with 'team' custom paint. Certainly the details (aero tubes, stiffening gussets, track ends) are the same.

  • does it barspin?

  • If you add some bars, but not a front wheel - yes.

  • Wish i hadn't bought that chesini track frame....
