The blurb: Bike Story is a project inspired by the Grand Depart in Yorkshire, and is one of the major commissions of the Yorkshire Festival 2014. Directed by Alan Dix and written by award-winning scriptwriters Mike Kenny and Martin Riley, Bike Story will take real stories from ordinary people and weave them into a spectacular one-hour outdoor theatre show.
We have heard about many amazing things – mercy dashes, tandem love affairs, cycling in war zones, accidents and incredible feats of endurance. Some people use their bike for work. Some people cycle out love for the environment, some people cycle for thrills and some people cycle because it’s the only means of transport they have. Whatever your reason and whatever your story, share your story with others.
