I realise you're probably being tongue in cheek here but those who often piss on South London aren't usually those who live/cycle here every day, so can't possibly have an accurate view. There are some areas north of the river that really intimidate me as I don't know them/road layouts so well, but I'm not in a position (and wouldn't want) to write-off the whole region based on my limited experience.

OK, so gangs and violent crime are obviously dreadful and should be condemned but
south London isn't alone in having criminals or shitty drivers. The absurd arrogance of many Chelsea tractor drivers and MAMILS (Middle Aged Men In Loathsome Sportscars) for example, makes them a menace all over the more affluent streets of Kensington & Chelsea and beyond. The huge number of taxis, coaches and buses in the touristy parts of town, and HGVs around development sites, is also highly noticeable.

Yes I'm being defensive and I will possibly migrate to the countryside or Australia eventually anyway, but ffs, why the hell shouldn't I be?!
