  • At least they understand physics. Short stems are better, for everything, except going in a straight line.

    Short stem => using your mallet in front of your bike is more of a stretch.

    The sweetspot in stem length vs trail is a negative correlation. Low trail + short stem = twitch city, wrist sprains. More trail => more dive => more jackknife.

    Short stems also mean you impinge on your knee space when turning sharply.
