What's the drilling JB?
-
• #4
Probably should've mentioned that, they're 32h, Dammit.
-
• #5
Yeah, still not sure how it happened though, unfortunately.
-
• #6
Are these Shimano
-
• #7
jesus, that's cheap!
-
• #8
I'm tempted, just for the hubs.
-
• #9
Can you not heat the rim up and tease it back into place with big ass crocodiles?
-
• #10
Yes Shimano. Sorry yet more information I forgot to include.
-
• #11
maybe they're easier to sell f you take them apart and sell the hubset alone. I'd think the hubs alone should fetch your asking price and then you'd have the front rim to profit from.
-
• #12
If I bought them I'd unlace them, bin the spokes and flog the front rim- Dron (sorry about the o) speaks sense.
-
• #13
Yeah I did consider this. Maybe I'll do that. Dammit, would you be interested in the hubs at £160? All yours if so.
-
• #14
Sorry about the wheels. I missed these orginally so I am happy to take them after you gave them a few good miles.
-
• #15
I would rebuild the rear and put them on the Enigma and ride them into the ground.
-
• #16
I thought you were all about 11s dammit?
Nice hubs and good price! Shame they are not for campy!
-
• #17
Thanks for the offer JB, not the right time for me- Fussball club sounds like your man for these wheels.
-
• #18
If that haven't gone already I'll take them. PM me please as I can't send PM's yet.

Dammit jaybee wish I'd have known this was coming...
Did the dent happen after fat jb came back from his US holiday?

Dank je wel.
I'm selling my CK wheel set. The hubs are red CK classics and they're laced to HED Belgiums. They're a wonderful set of wheels.
One caveat, the rear rim is damaged. I've carried on riding the wheels despite this and they seem absolutely fine. With that said, I cannot recommend riding them or take any responsibility for anyone that decides to ride them without getting them checked.
Depending on what the buyer decides to do, it could get quite expensive to rebuild the wheel - but the front wheel is still absolutely fine to use. Also to note, the rear wheel is still perfectly true. I've not taken the rear tyre off since I spotted the dent, so I don't know how easy it will be to fit a tyre now that there is a dent in the rim though I can test this if someone decides they want them.
Because of all this I will not be expecting a huge amount of money. I paid £325 for these. ~2500kms and a dent later, I'd like £180. Which is arguably very good value for money, due to the value of the hubs - also due to the fact that it would cost far more than that even to build the front wheel.
Lastly, braking on the rear rim is fine, and it's effective as braking on the rim always has been (i.e not very effective) but there is a pulsing feeling that runs through the bike. It's kind of annoying but I've got used to it.
PMs for interest, dibs don't count.
Pictures are a bit shit but I will get better ones at the weekend, bike's currently in the shed and needs a good clean!
