On the way home today I looked down on my front wheel... the left wheel nut was missing and the right one was loose! Don't make a bike up in a rush and then race away people. Check before you ride. Thankfully Cycle surgery was 100m away so I got it sorted. I was a hop away from being seriously Indra'd.

Came upon a truck vs. cyclist accident in the car on Saturday morning, steep and windy hill road where the truck would have crossed the centerline. Woman in a bad way but conscious and talking to her riding buddy, truck driver and I stopping traffic until the ambo and cops arrived. My girlfriend calling the ambulance, cops and the woman's daughter.

The riding pair looked like experienced cyclists. The woman made it though. We came away pretty shocked, definitely a big "oh shit" moment for us. So, be careful folks.

Christ, very nearly hit a school girl today.
One of those ones where you expect them to step out, but hope they'll look at that point. Was already riding wide of the gutter, but she came pretty close to stepping into me, all whilst looking the other way. FFS.

And then very nearly taken out by a Mercedes driver cutting into me and then running a red light. Doing well in bingo today !

Riding home From work and was nakerd. All was going well untill I came upto a pot hole at quite some speed as I was trying to beat the lights.
I forgot I was riding fixed for a second and stood up to coast around it.....
DERP bike chucked me over the handle bars or what ever the fuck happend then I slid for about 3/4 meters from my bike. I knew as soon as I stood up that I had done wrong lol.
Got up completely butt hurt and dragged my self to the side if the road dragging my left leg. Handle bars bent wheel out of true and in crazy pain I road home up hill where I am now feeling sorry for myself lol. Would have asked to stick my bike on the bus but they probs would have said no...

I've nearly bucked myself off at the start of riding fixed. The realisation of momentum as shown by a rear wheel and some good old physics...

Yeah I'm gona be ok thanks , just feel shit. Wheel isn't a complete write off, just wobbly. Handle bars might make an apperance in that thread soon lol

Pulled up along another rider this morning coming from Regents park side going towards picadilly circus. DAWS and looked over at him.

LOL he stopped pedalling and started coasting. Singlespeed damn. I thought he was riding fixed. He only had a front brake while I was brakeless.

Oh Sh*** moment happened after that I almost fell in a huge hole in the road. Didn't see it till last minute.

Ahh How are you? I miss brakeless riding. Good to be back. Missed the rush. First few weeks back on since last year.

Other Oh Sh*** moment came when I was trying to push to big a gear from leciester square to swiss gate.

Silly moment on my behalf this morning, around 8am on Great Eastern Street riding up towards the junction of Old Street and over taking a van on the right hand side, so I was riding on right lane. Suddenly the Mercedes taxi car stops to allow the a car on the opposite side to pull out, I indicated to come back to the left hand lane but the van on my left refused to let me back in and I was already doing 25mph+ and there wasn't enough of a gap to filter through the middle, so I pulled a bloody miracle and skid/drifted around right side the Mercedes into oncoming traffic (thank god it wasn't moving) and then re-skidded around the car that was pulling out and came out of it with a scratch to me or the bike...yikes!
