SRAM is best for me, it's the cheapest and the lightest and functions perfectly. Ticks the important boxes there.
I love Ergo hoods but can't get on board with thumbies or the price. All the Shimano stuff I've used has been fine, but no better than SRAM in terms of function, and heavier/more expensive.
My dream road build will be a disgusting electronic shifting hack with the lightest groupset but with buttons retrofitted to Campag Ergo levers because I'm a disgusting tart. Probably wrapped around whatever aero Parlee is available at that point. Woof.
