    Bike Weight: 9.56kg (without pedals)

For sale is a rare custom built Reynolds 531 vintage 1984 Woodrup. The frame has been beautifully refurbished to mint condition by Woodrup in a spectacular royal blue with added white detailing on the lugs, and virtually all brand new components including 2014 wheels and groupset. This British made Woodrup was a custom built frame (51/ 54 top tube) and can accommodate a taller cyclist with its current set-up.

This superb frame was hand built by Woodrup Cycles in Leeds in 1984 and features full Reynolds 531 Double-Butted tubing, elegant brazed cable guides at the bottom bracket and stunning lugwork.

This bike has been assembled by hand in Edinburgh, and would make a spectacular training, or long distance bike.

You will find all the details and many more images at the following:

  • absolutely beautiful. glwts

  • Lovely, but a little optimistic for an old frame with apex.

  • glad its "assembled by hand" !
didnt i see this on gumtree ?

  • Lovely bike and nice shot of the High Street.

  • How did you glue it to the ground? :) Nice bike, good luck..

  • Why do all Woodrup frames that pop up for sale seem to be midget size?

One day one day I tell you!!

  • Price drop - £800!

  • How did you glue it to the ground? :) Nice bike, good luck..

am intrigued also....how is it propped up is there a hand photoshopped out?

  • Interested in F+F if split occurs.

Yes that is what i'd like to know....i looked at all the pic [nice bike]...but would like to know what is keeping it up?.....Massive magnet under the road?

  • Shot each image twice using tripod, photoshopped one hand out!

Split will not occur, this was purchased as frame and fork. Built using brand new kit. I appreciate they're not vintage NOS parts but everything is in perfect condition and the bike got a good bit of attention when we were taking the shots. These frames sell new from £900, if you shopped smart the components would come in around £400-500... So £800 is a very reasonable price.

The bike rides brilliantly, the colour is awesome and groupset is reliable.

  • Fit frame and very tasteful build.

Bit of cloning around rear of saddle and building behind it? Nice work though and good effort for a classified ad!

  • Hi, I am interested in this bike but am new to the forum so can't DM you.

If its still available, drop me an email: henry.hobs1@gmail.com

Bump...because i am relived that the laws of gravity have not been perverted or defied.....so it was sleight of hand.....very clever.

  • £800 - Still up for grabs

  • Yes, 'chriscotheque' was relisted on ebay, people on this forum seem less interested in buying the bike and would rather know how the pictures were taken! This is a superb bike, and the price is well justified.

  • eBay? Read the rules.

  • But is it on ebay or anywhere else now?.....The ebay auction has ended....is it on Gumtree or just here?....If it is just here surely past misdemeanors should be forgotten?

  • The item is listed nowhere else. I listed the item on ebay and then killed the thread here

  • Nice though it undoubtedly is, I don't think you'll get what you're asking for on here.

  • looks nice and is the same age as me! but ST too small for me, my comfortable riding position would be <2 scoblebricks from saddle to hoods, and this would be easily more.

    GLWS

  • It was relocated on ebay last night when I posted. Not sure now
