^^Indeed - I am probably going to order from Wiggle and return them if they're not compacts.

I'm looking to get a pair of Bontrager's to pair with my Nitto Pearl (25.4)
Can anyone recommend a shim? Also are the ok to fit with a closed quill?
-
• #229
You'll want an inverse shim for that.
-
• #230
Head down to your LBS and ask for a .6mm inverse shim, should sort you out
-
• #231
Fuck sake I only realized how stupid that question was after I asked it.
facepalm

Anyone tried http://www.ridewill.it/p/en/tranzx-484000051-tranz-x-alloy-road-handlebar-440mm-black/29865/ these?
Says 26.0. but also 25.4, so looks like they will need a shim if you need 26 (now confirmed by them as 25.4 - also postage is €15, so almost as much as the bars)
I have the Bontrager SSR VR-C. They are OK, but the reach is a bit short for getting a comfortable resting place for your hands (and they are 85mm which is one of the longer ones).

Just noticed some Bontrager SSR-VR-C for sale in this thread:http://www.lfgss.com/thread121480.html

Bought some Deda piegas, 75mm is the perfect reach for me, hope I like the shape.
Shame they're not silver. The only web shop that seems to show the correct new picture is high on bikes, but they describe it as anatomic in the description.

Fuck it, Nitto M106 (26.0/42cm/silver) ordered from Japan to go with my Dynamic stem. These'd better be good!
-
• #237
I can't seem to find any of the bars listed with a 70mm reach for sale anywhere. Does anyone have a link to where I can buy some before I buy some 75mm reach Deda Piegas?

They are. They work really well with levers, probably not so much on a brakeless bike.

Good-o. They appear to have spent just over a week at Parcelforce Coventry, but some movement over the past couple of days...

ok i'm still confused.
who bought the deda piega's in ergo/compact shape in 40cm c-c which is deda sizing 42 succesfully online and if hands, where?
this palava is doing my head in after once receiving an anatomic pair and oce a 36cm c-c pair..
-
• #241
tommmm has a theory that up to 40 deda sizing they all compact, above that anatomic. but i believe apollo had some 44s so confused still

Drop (center to center) mm: (for size 36-38-40) 132
Drop (center to center) mm: (for size 42-44-46) 142
Reach (center to center) mm 86This is how they measure up according to Wiggle (I think)
-
• #243
I'm really confused, do the round compact deda piega have 75mm reach and the anatomic 86mm?
-
• #244
^^i don't think the wiggle stats are very reliable, all the reviews are conflicting as to whether they're anatomic or round or whatever. I believe that whilst they're described on wiggle as the anatomic version they're actually the round ones.

Has anyone discovered 25.4 compact drops for 25.4 stems?
