Saddle repair?

Posted on
  • I picked up a cheap saddle on holiday but it needs a slight repair, and I've got absolutely no idea where to start looking for someone to help. Would a welder sort something like this out?

  • you need to bend the staples up to free the bracket part.

take it to a fabricator and anyone worth their salt will be able to sort a replacement part for that

  • I think it is also missing the tension pin.

    SJS carry spares
look at the tension shackle and the nose piece as well as the tension pin.

then you need someone to rivet it together.
I can but I live too far away.

  • thats an awesome set of spares for a saddle company.

    .very impressed

  • Cheers for the replies.

Those spares all seem to be dedicated Brook's components. This saddle seems to be a 'Favorit' (seems to be an old Czech bike manufacturer).

Any idea of what sort of business I should look up to enquire as to whether they could carry out the repair?

  • I would consider asking the binmen to help.

  • That wouldn't be much help.
