It'd be interesting to know what the 'too much power' limit for a Volvo 240 is. Based on some rough and ready back-of-the-metaphorical-fag-packet calculations, we worked out years ago that it was about 780bhp for a Sylva Striker kit car. At that level you'd run out of grip at terminal velocity, at which point moah powah = moah tyre smoke.
Sadly no-one's ever tested this empirically - so far as I'm aware, no-one's ever had more than 420bhp in a Striker. Still not bad for a car which weighs less than 600kg.
