on a serious note, I have been trawling through the thread a bit and found that the wishbone stays on the current/old pompino are being termed "Dekerf stays".
I then googled dekerf and found that it's some sort of small company that makes high quality frames, and has moved into the custom frame business in recent years.
So - I'm a bit confused, what are those chainstays doing on a budget steel frame such as the pompino? And I can only assume that the stay design is under licence from dekerf and made by on-one? Although obviously they no longer wish to carry on with it, too expensive?
Either way, does anyone know more about this, can someone enlighten me? I get the feeling that I don't have the full picture...
