Thanks, what caliper would you suggest I go for? I am tempted by Campy...

Probably not a bad idea, I find my Campag brakes great even with stock pads. Tektro/cheap Shimano with Kool-Stop salmons another option.

I use SKS bottle holder adapters. Cheap & easy to install.

he's suggesting that the guy riding the Vig that is too small for him buy the vig from the guy with a larger frame that doesnt like it.
I see, I didn't quite get his meaning.

I will be drilling out the front fork for a brake soon, how do I do this without causing a disaster?
-
• #2088
on my vig the fork is already drilled, the hole is just plugged up and painted over?

Depends which model it is? I think most Mash forks have a brake hole, it's just covered by a plastic stopper and a bit of paint.
If you can slip a screw driver or something similar in to the brake-hole from back to front then you just need to give it a smash with a hammer. Should be fine.
If you don't feel like doing it yourself, take the fork to a bike shop, a good one will do it for you on the spot. -

Thats what I meant, but I think you still need to drill this little plug out? Not sure it will come out just with a nail and hammer, plus dont want to really crack the paintwork up too bad if I can help it....

Ah just have at it, you're scratch up the paint fitting the brake anyway and no-one is going to notice.

yeah the brake will cover any removed paint I would have thought.

If post 2009 then pre drilled.
Use 2/3mm drill as pilot hole into front where should be raised circle for guide.
Reem with 5mm etc to get a clean hole.
Simple.

YO - can anyone with a black / white / blue Histogram Mash get in touch with me please? I need to check if the BB serial number is unique or just a manufacturers code.
I'm having a very weird afternoon with someone claiming that my bike is actually theirs...
