Are there any more rides in the pipeline? What/when is the owl ride? Would be interested in joining you! Do you guys tend to ride a mix of single speed and geared?

Hey girls, I'm totally new to the road game and London but am an experienced mountain biker and am relatively fit. I'd really like to come on a few of these excursions to Cambridge, Brighton ect. Which would be the best for me to start with?

Hello! I don't know if there are any planned at the moment but it would be great to have you along next time there is one.
Actually, I was thinking just the other day that I might organise something for next month - anyone have any preferences on where to go? I was thinking somewhere seasidey. Not for swimming in the sea, unless anyone is feeling particularly hardy and then yeah, why not, let's swim in the sea...

Great!
I kinda fancy cycling on Southend pier... -

Windsor could be an option too, distance-wise it's not that far, and relatively easy to get the train back as well.

Southend would be good, chips is a great incentive!

Great!
I kinda fancy cycling on Southend pier...You can't cycle down Southend Pier - they charge you a squid to walk it!
Southend would be good, chips is a great incentive!
Southend is pretty grim though - when I had my first road bike outing there last Feb we pretty much got straight on the train once we arrived.
I need to get my bike mojo rolling again - anyone fancy an easy start back into it with a Lost Lanes ride at some point in Feb?

Am also slooowly creaking my way back to fitness after a few months of the beer and cheese diet (I recommend it!). Count me in for a ride.

I was thinking of a gentle ride out this weekend, maybe saturday. dependent on getting some biology out of the way first. I've done Bishops Stortford to Cambridge a few times, and it's a really lovely route, about 28 miles.
Involves getting train out and then the option of cycling back the same way to stortford or getting the train back from cambridge (stortford's enroute, so a day return from cambridge works for doing this).
it looks a bit rainy in the afternoon.
just putting it out there, anyway.

Seems that we stopped for a long lunch 1 hr 23 mins.
