Or actionable.

There's faults on both sides here.
Don't mouth off about bikes you've never bought or ridden, solely because it's funny and the saddle angle is skewiff.
Don't try to sell a bike on the basis of who else might buy possibly the same possibly different parts from possibly the same source halfway across the world. Especially if the same are unsubstantiatable claims.

possibly possibly possibly
definitely.

Like when you advertised your wheels by saying that the company that supplies your rims are the same people making H plus Son's?
If this is what our wheel supplier has told us then not much we can do about it. Although once again we have acknowledged the point raised as soon as we researched on the matter.

There's nothing wrong with criticising a poor product but I do feel that somewhere in this thread objectivity has been lost and it's turned into a witch hunt, appealing to some less commendable human qualities.
And not just in this thread, or only towards Dani Foffa, but also those who have had anything to do with Foffa, no matter how minimal or how long ago. Sad. -

Given that you raised it... Isn't that the kind of thing a diligent buyer would check out before putting pen to paper. Or using it as an advertising soundbite.
But anyway. Just as people don't have the right to arbitrarily defame others, Dani doesn't have a monopoly on this threador forum as a propaganda outlet. Especially when so free and loose withthefacts.

Ha ha, great! Although I hope he's got a few more tools besides that enormous spanner :)

Maybe this Toby lad could return in a couple of months with a review of his new bike.
you are more than welcome to give an honest review of your new bike after a few months of riding it.
Absolutely! MInd you apart from an 80's bianchi I had as a teenager, which is really just a hazy memory, I've only ever ridden cheapies so I wont be the best judge... But yep, happy to give my opinion...

[quote=edmundro;4043726]I thought he(and his staff/customers) had done this on numerous occasions over the years?
I don't know, I guess it's impossible to say for sure. Although there are a lot of foffa bikes out there and presumably, given the business is still going after a number of years there are quite a few satisfied customers. It seems quite possible that some of those people have shown support.

Ha ha, it'd make an interesting essay topic for a psychology student!

Incredible.

Me too. Sold.
This might be my favourite thing that's ever happened on here.

Just to reiterate Punkture, our frames are made from the same guys in Taiwan that supply for Surly and Cooper. I have mentioned this a few times in the past but you must have missed this, so before you state something which might defame a genuine company make sure you know what you are talking about.
defamation? I was illustrating that all frames made out of the same tubeset are not necessarily the same. I didnt really say that your frames are Chinese or otherwise.
And if you didnt read it properly i was defending your brand, up to a point which is better than various people on this here thread.
Anyway, im gonna put this thread on ignore now along with the helmet thread. meh

Can you buy foffa branded helmets?

Although that's not really saying much. As I said earlier, it's really about the brief you give the factory and the way you ensure that they stick to it. After all, Mavic Aksiums and R-Sys are 'made from the same guys in Annecy'*, and nobody in their right mind would claim that the R-Sys is as good as the Aksium :-)
*Yes, I know they are actually assembled in Romania

It's funny you should post that, I was just talking to a children's book illustrator at a party on Saturday about this German children's book:
'Of the mole who wanted to know who shat on his head.'
Spooky or what?
-
• #2869
I want that book.

• #2870
i want to know what sick, coprophiliac German shit on the mole's head too.

Hahaha!
I do however, find it spooky that children are given books featuring such things.

I don't like the book, neither the drawings nor the idea. I think it's the children's book equivalent of a novelty hit.

Sorry, I can't remember for shit.
Like when you advertised your wheels by saying that the company that supplies your rims are the same people making H plus Son's?
H plus might consider that defamatory.
