Trying to be mysterious ha! Hoping to get this built up tommorow, got some pursuit bars coming. Does anyone know if the dandy horse stocks bottom brackets? My old one is a a bit stuck..
-
• #778
Yes they do

Cool shot laurence, is that all natural light or have you got a really tall flash mount?
-
• #780
Yes they do
Cheers, will pay them a visit tommora

Thanks, nope nothing fancy just a long exposure, an led lamp and a homemade cereal box light reflector aha.

That's awesome, I might have to fashion something similar, the results look great regardless of the means!
-
• #782
Yeah definately worth a go! They do a good rechargeable light in clas ohlsen for about a tenner
-
• #783
Was just gonna use my bike light...
-
• #784
That's probably a more straightforward solution aha

Big thanks to Matt at the Dandy Horse for helping me with various bits and pieces! Ordered some new straps and on the look out for a different saddle. Super happy with it though

I've been riding a single speed conversion until I found the right frame, and now 12ounce (the boyf) and I have been building this up, we'll put the final parts on tomorrow!

Saw Cherry's frame ^ yesterday - Colombus tubes, nice welds, it's a good looking frame, should be cool built up.
-
• #788
Very nice. La Piovra isn't it?
-
• #789
Think so yeah. With the amount of cheap 'cool' bikes knocking about now, from what I've seen, I think the general standard of 'proper' OTP builds has really gone up, it's a neat frame.

Thanks guys, yeah it's a la piovra classic pista.
All the parts are on now, because of the tiny head tube had to cut the stem down, but lovely 12ounce did that while I walked the dogs! Bars courtesy of thross. Seats quite low to start with, because, to be honest, I've only ever ridden ladies frames before and need to get used to it all! I'm looking for a concor to finish it all off.Edit: resized pic, sorry!

Looking good Cherry, all black was definitely the way to go. You might want to rotate that lever a bit to save your wrists though!
-
• #792
Yeah man we tweaked a few things after taking the pic, my bad!
-
• #793
That's looking awesome, Cherry!

Wishful bid ended up in me winning these today:
Inch threaded carbon forks are a rare commodity - but now I'm faced with the question of whether they go on my slow-build road bike, of if I convert the track bike to a quill?
-
• #795
convert the dolan, get that moda stem off Matt and buy my airwings for super slave points
-
• #796
Aha, that Moda is quite cool....
-
• #797
First the dolan, then these. You couldn't 'wishfully' bid me a Venge could you?
(Gold chain optional). -
• #798
I could certainly try!
Also, totally OT, but I applied for the job in Planning by the way Jules, thanks for the heads up.
-
• #799
No worries.
Good luck! -

Ah, I was meant to ask you about jobs actually Jules, I'll PM you.
Weight saving! Lol. My mate used to put thornproof 18" tubes in 20" bmx wheels to save weight...
