The Orlowski is lovely, I would love something similar, so versatile.

Readers wives etc., from freezing Helsinki again, my new Traitor Crusade. This was in fact a warranty replacement after the top tube cracked in the first generation version I had. Waited almost 9 months for the frame but it's a nice upgrade from the previous version with discs and 44mm headtube.

Now with Grifo tubs and reflex rims. I bent both of my Stans Crest rims and through I'd try tubulars. Mainly because I could get reflex rims cheap and buy some lightly used tubs from a friend.
Luckily the spokes (straight pull) was only 2mm to short so I could use 14mm nipples instead. I can't believe how expensive straightpull spokes actually are and more importantly why?Its my first time gluing and I think I did okay. Ended up with clean rims, but did get some glue on the sidewall. Straight valves too :)

went from +800gram tyres to sub 400. Feels quite a bit better.

So nice that bike. Never been a fan of those hoods, however the Red Yellow cranks is a strike of genius!

me neither, just a bit hesitant about which levers to get. sram s500 would fit the theme with the cranks.
those suck as I have to use them installed quite far back to have steeper slope in the style of the more modern levers. The braking from drop position is rendered quite useless.

@negattio - what chain line are you running with the red cranks? Single ring in outer position would give about 46mm, right?

The Orlowski is stunning. Just needs a set of s900's as the finishing touch ;).

It is, and so comfortable, compared to 25's that I had on there previously.

Replace the housing with compressionless (like Yozokuna), and the braking performance will improved to the point you won't need those v-brake levers.

those levers are rl340 I think. Better cable would always be good, but haven rly found those lacking braking power yet. Maybe in the summer with sticky rubber on tarmac the rear could use some more.

Can anyone recommend a good gearing ratio for sscx? Also to be used for commuting (5 miles mostly uphill) I'm thinking 46-18 or 44-18... or less?? I guess you need quicker acceleration when off road?
My fixie is 48-16 (started with 48-18) and I use that for my commute at the moment (this has really improved my climbing on the road bike!)
Any advice on the sscx side??
Thanks for the reply Negaatio, for a moment I thought there where two red Orlowksi frames being built at the same time.
