I took a stroll through Interlaken earlier today. It was a real treat to see all of the big name watches in the flesh.
Lessons learned?
A Rolex seems to look cheap next to most other high end brands.
Panerai are fucking sublime in the flesh.
You can spend 300,000GBP on a watch that looks like it came from Argos.
There are some genuinely stunning and innovative watches on the market today even if they are in the £200k+ bracket. Some of the movements on display were simply jizz storms.
Salesperson in the latter shop was awesome and really proud to show it off. One of 12 made. Totally minging but utterly compelling. Complimemted my SD45 too. Swoon
In other news a small egg fried rice in the local chinese costs 25CHF. Fuuuuuu
