After a week of careful, scientific study (I'm unemployed and haven't had much call to be out of the house this week), I have come to the conclusion that cats actually induce ADD in humans.
This isn't because of some biological symbiotic effect or anything as deeply sciencey as that, it's just hard to maintain concentration on anything for any length of time while you're wondering WFT they're up to in the other room.
