Sounds like your hips could be out of alignment.
An easy exersize is to lay flat on your back, draw your legs up as if in a sort of sit up position and let legs go sideways outward inward in no particular fashion all the while keeping your back flat. draw your knees into your chest and squeeze down.(like a swimming pool bomb position cept you're on your back)
Might help, if not try some Shiatsu sessions as there may well be an underlying problem which Pilates/Yoga won't necessarily sort out and could exacerbate
