Getting deep into The Last of Us, damn what a game, I'm finding myself getting quite emotionally involved after extended periods of play, regularly genuinely shit myself up during the more tense sections. It's such a refreshing change to have genuinely helpful AI companions too, I was in an altercation, one more hit away from death when Ellie ran up and bottled my assailant in the face causing him to stagger back and have other matey shotgun his head off, it also adds to the immersion having them interact with the environment very naturally, watching Ellie trying to balance along a kerb, etc.
