Can't remember if I'm signed up or not. If not I'll do so.

Much appreciated.

It's up there now, I had already signed up.

A bug, we should really take you to the home screen. Could you log it please.
Can't remember my GitHub details - can someone else log it for me if they get the chance.
(As an aside, can I really be the only professional web developer who never uses it?) -
• #81
Uses what?
An iPad?
-
• #82
Github.
-
• #83
Ah, in that case... yup.
Every dev I know uses it.
And an increasing number of non-devs too (it turns out it's a pretty neat way to run a free blogging platform via Github pages)
-
• #84
using the issue tracker as a project management tool is also pretty good (if your working on your own anyway)

I guess it's a combo of not freelancing or moonlighting since 2007 and having had enough of computers by the time 5:30pm comes around.

What you experienced:
Tried to start a huddle. got "Sorry, something bad happened when we tried to process your request. The error has been logged and we'll look into it."
What you expected:
To send pmSuggestion:
Make huddles work.
-
• #87
I may have been pushing a deployment at that moment.
I've just tested by creating one and it appears to work... you have a PM btw.
-
• #88
alright you'll like this one,
What you experienced:
when entering the recipient of the huddle, 'mands' it did not find the recipient and gave me a message saying so after I hit enter. I pressed backspace and was taken 'Back' a page in my browser
What you expected:
I expected to still be in text entering mode where backspace would delete a character
Suggestion:
maintain the focus on the text window after error message so I can amend my input simply.
Also I can't add any recipient when starting a new huddle. A simple, not found box appears.

Glad you're feeling better ;)

We need a new account on the new site?

We need a new account on the new site?
Currently yes as no import of data has been done whilst we are testing.

is there a possibility to preview posts? I can't seem to find that option when I create a conversation, so I have to actually create it and edit it (lots of times, initially)
when I edit a conversation, the confirmation button reads 'post reply' > it's not a reply, it's the original post.
the 'formatting help' does not contain a hint to embed a link in a piece of text without the full URL showing up in the post
the € symbol is not recognised in the actual posted message, while it is in the editing box
in general: what new features will classified have compared to lfgss now, if any?
cheers and good luck, microcosm's looking good!

ampersands in conversation titles, like in current lfgss post titles, turn into '&'
-

There is far too much whitespace. You are wasting my time and wearing my hands by making me scroll.
I can't sign up for an account as I can't paste my password into the persona page.

We love feedback, it helps.
But feedback without context will be ignored because we won't be able to make sense of it.
The comment about whitespace. What page? Where? How much scrolling?
Assuming the context is a comment page, then reflect on this very page... much scrolling, very long, wow.
Are you asking for zero scrolling? Would you like every post in a thread to be a unique page and require a click and load?
I don't think so, I think what you really mean is that some of the lists of things are too long. But... which ones? Where? Do you have a link? A screenshot?
Please help us by giving us lots and lots of info with any feedback. We want the feedback, but we're not mind-readers and we cannot see your screen.
Which page has too much whitespace?

Thanks.
Some of these have been fixed already.
The list of currently open issues can be found here:
https://github.com/microcosm-cc/microweb/issues?direction=desc&sort=created&state=openIf you have any new ones for us, or ones that you know of that aren't fixed and are not on that page... then please add them to that page.
I'll do the ones you've mentioned that aren't yet fixed.

That and all unicode stuff (the snowman!) is now fixed and should be working
in general: what new features will classified have compared to lfgss now, if any?
We've only focused on the event type and conversation type for launch. The event type is something that doesn't exist on forums today and we wanted to show how it works and what is possible.
Classifieds are going to be similar in that they will do what you expect them to do.
What I mean by this is:
1) In the Microcosm listing, where you see the event date and place, expect to see the item price, status (sold, not sold) and some properties (size, colour).
2) In the advert, expect to be able to add properties as key:value pairs much like attributes on Flickr images... ctc:60cm wheels:700c colour:blue
3) Expect properties to be searchable.
4) Expect adverts to be comparable
5) Expect to be able to search through unsold classifiedsWe eventually also want to add payment facilitation and alerts, etc. Basic stuff.
Where events tries to give the experience you might expect if you use lots of sites that have dedicated event calendars... classifieds are going to try and give the experience you might expect if you have used lots of classifieds sites.
Our goal is a very intuitive, simple, predictable, and very active marketplace.

cheers, good work!
will check & follow up on the proper github list if I see something buggy/funny
Definitely a bug, can you add it to github please.
