Changed a lot of stuff on the VN. Wheels/Pedals/Pump and Saddle which has a different kind of setup option than my old saddle which forced me to put it so far forward. Not pretty but damn comfortable. Only thing left to purchase is a spare tire so carrying a pump might actually be sensible ... Oh yeah never lean your bike on such a wall my Sti's got ugly scratches from doing so -.-

How well do these brakes work? I rather like the look of them.

What are those wheels? I googled Speed 4.0 but to no avail
-
• #87315
Really?
I googled and found out that they were veltec speed 4.0 carbon 40mm rims.
Probably clincher.

Stronger than the Dura ace, lighter thant the Mavic and Very well finished.
IMO a good compromise as Bontrager allway do...
By the way I did not test the skeleton campy one to compare. -

By the way I did not test the skeleton campy one to compare.I notice that there are some second hand ones going quite cheaply, I wonder if they'd be a better choice than the silver SRAM Force ones I just bought...

^ wow! stronger than the dura-ace ones?!

What's it for? They look nice but not on everything I suppose..

I'm rebuilding my roadie, changing from campag to SRAM Rival in silver. The silver rival brakes are hens teeth, so I bought some 2006 Force ones, the silver is not quite the same colour and its annoying me. I think those Bont ones may well be a good fit instead

Ultegra 6600 SL is at least three different shades of grey across the groupset.

Thank you psee it is kind of a long term project with a lot of fiddling here and there but finally I am happy. Just need to try those Speedplays out a bit more before I buy the stainless steel version.
mk1mark they are indeed Veltec Speed 4.0 SL full carbon tubs with cheap 25c Vittoria Rally tires because I was skint after purchasing the wheels.

I know NukeProof are awful at getting colours to match, maybe that canary yellow is hard to match. SRAM seem pretty good at getting colours to matches, so its just something small that will niggle at me, unless I decide to get the Bonts.
It's a flat generic looking saddle, it's like calling a plank of wood ugly.
