wow i vaguely glanced over this thread and was overwhelmed by the amount of chatter!
**surely it makes sense to wear a helmet to not get brain damage or whatever happens when a car hits you at a high enough speed. **
ok now that I've put my oar in i will never post in this thread again and also will be riding my bike... instead of talking a lot about helmets and HSE stuff....

P.S. safety is easy... use you common sense... and if you aint got any.... your're screwed and probably shouldn't ride a bike in the vicinity of cars, lampposts, ramps... or anything that you might hit, or fall off of, or get hit by
