  • Kinoko definitely have reaming tools.

  • To be honest, I think I will just bring it back to Kinoko over the weekend or sometimes soon and ask them, coz if it's advertised as 27.2, I don't expect that to have a stuck seatpost just after a few months being in mostly dry weather...

It sometimes happens on brand new frames which are built to very precise measurements. I had a custom built mercian and had to get the tube reamed. It could be to do with the tiniest lip of paint.

  • ^Had the same thing with my new frame

  • Mad Bargains in the sale!

  • Great service today, sorting a deiscrepancy between the web sale and the shop.

  • I have just swapped some 45mm SKS for the astonsihingly reasonably priced Kinoko TF Imports hammered mudguards (fitted free during Jan! Means no swearing when cutting stays etc).

Anyone know if this is correct? Free mudguard fittings at Kinoko this month with purchase?

  • Just ordered Bont Riots, Sealskinz socks and an issue of Bicycle Quarterly from the sale. Hopefully shipping to France will not be too long... and the Bonts will be the right size.

  • Picked up the cadence team bibs for 40 quid, mad bargains indeed

  • Ordered a Brooks Flyer, some grips and a front brake from the sale,
Very happy with the service and prices.

  • Anyone experienced delays with web orders recently? Placed an order 4 days ago that is still 'processing'...

  • 4 days after ordering I have received only part of my order (socks and magazine), not the shoes. My order is still "processing" also. Is it standard procedure? I hope I'll get the shoes, because I'd be quite upset to have paid 17£ shipment for 20£ of merchandise so far... not a very bargainous sale. And on top of that the sealskinz are too small! (but that's not their fault)

  • I bought an S2 via the webshop for £250 in the sale, unpack it and the pricetag says £200...

Just wondering whether any London-based people have been in to the shop during the sale and noticed - are they cheaper in the shop than online?

  • I've seen stuff both cheaper and more expensive in store compared to online. Also things that the website says is in stock but then when they check in store they don't actually have any and vice versa.

  • maybe its a tag JUST for the frame .. ?

  • I've got nothing but nice things to say about Kinoko.

Just picked up some bargain tyres, they were still tagged at full price but as they were advertised cheaper on the site, got them for the cheap web price. Flippin great.

  • ^ +1

I got mudguards in the January sale and they fitted them gratis. Would buy again.

  • difference in prices and in stock vs out of stock has happened to me also, but the guys have always been more than happy and willing to put things right. They are only a small operation so mistakes will happen.

  • As a juxtaposition; Dom saw something was on sale on the website, he rang up and asked if they had any in stock and if he could come in and buy it at that price: to which the answer was yes.
But when we went in the the guy working basically said no, and only eventually did it begrudgingly with a lot of moaning.

  • do you know who it was? Most of the guys whom I know on a first name basis are very nice and very helpful. That said, a couple whom I don't know their names have been a little less helpful. In situations like this, I always just ask to speak to someone else.

There was 1 time I ordered someting online to be picked up from the shop, bit of a faff as the option isn't readily available online, so had to ring etc. Anyway, when I went to pick the item up, they said I could have that for free because their system was showing the item as out of stock. On the same ocassion, I called ahead to make sure another item I wanted was in the shop and have asked them to put that aside for me, which it turned out they got the colour or size wrong, they offered me an alternative that was a much more expensive brand but with a significant discount, I ended up paying an extra £10 or somthing for something that worth twice the price.

  • All TFG employees and Jess = good people. All new people who were brought in when it became Kinoko = meh

  • Had similar experienced, gutted to not get an interview there.

  • That would defiantly put me off the shop ;)

  • You must not forget how much free beer they had!

  • Wankers, the lot of them

  • Morgan, would you have said the same thing, let say... a couple of months ago?? ;-)
