I'm not sure where I stand on that... it's a neat improvement in the user experience, but it breaks the internet standard.
Going back in history should show you the page as it was at that moment in history.
That's basically what the internet standard says... it takes you back to the the page/state that you were at previously.
I'll have a think about it and look at what others do. It's not hard to modify the state, but I don't want to be modifying the way things work for people's expectations, and most expectations are based on how the web has already worked for them for years. The back button has a pretty clear job.
