Again, these things play out perfectly in one's own head. All it takes is for you to strike the thief and cause lasting or permanent injury, and the good old legal system will see to it that you're properly fucked. Unless you're willing to bet your house on it of course, in which eventuality the winner is one who passed the Bar exam.
