Down to the last 2 Greggs pies in the DHD larder. Off on hols tomorrow and I know when I get home, mince pie season will be over > sad
Incredibly, Ms DHD arrived home this evening with a cheeky little 6-pack of Greggs mince pies - manager's special: 75p.
Still trying to comprehend why she only bought one pack.

Thank heavens, when I went down the local Greggs today, they still had a stack of Manager's Special 6-packs for 75p, so I bought enough to see me through to the end of the year.

At a Greggs-fuelled 77.5kg, with a race weight of 72kg, I'm glad it's all over until next year......

5.5kg is a lot of mince pies, fair play.

I must apologise publically on this thread, I have said in the past that mince pies are the devils snot. I was wrong. I had a mince pie from Fortnum and mason...(do they have a fresh bake area) and it was amazing the fruit was moist and tasted of nice whiskey and the pastry had a real crunch to it. Now I can never go back....

Greggs have started stocking their mince pies again.
On a totally unrelated note, does anyone have any clown-size trousers for sale?

I'm going to have to enforce a 1 mince pie per run/ride rule on myself.
Already eaten about 8 homemade mince pies last month...

I made a mince pie crumble the other week. Do recommend. Basically an enormous mince pie with crumble mix on top, with cream.
It took what felt like a fortnight for two of us to eat it.

The consumption of my delicious mince pie crumble was not a chore, you insensitive clod!
Ben, is it dog friendly too?
