This. It's tricky to photograph without a more professional approach, as the silver bits get burned out while the camera gets the overall exposure 'right'. I'll have another go at it if I can remember how to do manual exposure on my camera. As well as the relief, the colour is slightly different as the engraved one cuts away the whole anodisation layer back to bare metal, whereas the laser just ablates the dye and leaves the clear anodised finish, which is very slightly yellow compared with raw metal.
