Look forward to the finished pics & comparison to the Master -

the master has extended lugs so it is a bit bigger but only 5mm longer.
Not planning on keeping it going to get paint sorted then will sell it.

Paint looks awesome!
But if you want to avoid cable rub on the head tube, you should run the gear cables into the other stops and cross them over under the down tube.
You'd also have a more efficient and neater cable run for the brakes if you ran the front from the left lever.
And the inners have been finished too short: 40mm looks right IMO.

to many of my other bikes dont run f brake continental so thats a bad idea, Personal opinion on the length of cable ends, but thank you for your ideas on that, yes the cable rub on top tube may prove to be an issue I have seen some cable holders on other bikes that stop this or I may just use rubber sleeves, O and the down tube does not allow cables to be crossed it having a big old bulged section in it.

I did see a cable guide that fits over the lower race of the headset: I think it was from Rose.
I run all mine continental now, better cable run and being able to brake safely while indicating right win it for me. I did stress about getting confused, but have never come a cropper (yet).

Ultegra cranks :-/
Ok after riding about on a Tarmac SL4 for a while I decided to get a nice Italian Steel (the boss has a Master x Light gave me the idea). After getting a Colnago slx spiral conic that was advertised at the wrong size I layed out on a Tecnos, Dream hp Bstay and a masterolympic (as well as a colection of forks to play with)
The aforementioned Spiral conic
Out with the old and in with the new, the flash forks had just come back from a refurb and look better than ever. The Tecnos has now gone of to have some of the paint touched up.
The Master Olympic had a few rust bubbles so the paint has been taken back and hope to send that off for paint soon.
These are the forks after I got them back from paint and some time forks that I have.
Test fit on the bike with old style king headset, I love the number holder but it would be cool to get a race number for it.
