theres so much jealousy between ppl on facebook
Maybe you are posting the wrong stuff for your audience, or wording things in such a way that they provoke jealousy not friendship.

I wrote this a few days ago on my employer's facebook page using my own account:
I realise the irony of me writing this post but I am a devout Luddite when it comes to Facebook, Twitter etc. I cannot put into words how disappointed I am that XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Police has “bought into” this social media gossip-fest. Then to ram it down my throat at work with “Twat (Tweeter) of the week” adds insult to injury. I am glad I am retiring the job's gone to ratsh*t.
Professional Standards Department raised the issue and so I've now had management advice and an entry made in my PDR. I'm going to enjoy my last month in the job!

Working for me. I have two people having a conversation with each other on my wall which is nice because it means my phone and computer beep every thirty seconds.

You know you can change those settings right?
Or just delete your account. It's dead now anyway.

From the android thread:
So as part of the permissions for the new Facebook app on android it wants permission to read my text messages, modify my calendar and send emails without permission, access my contacts, see who I've phoned and who's phoned me, turn my wifi on and off, see what other apps I'm running with most of those being new on this update.
Time to uninstall it.

I stopped using it a while ago. The browser version was actually faster when finding locations. All I did with it was check in to pubs to record brews so untappd does that now.
-
• #368
Yep, the browser version I find is better than the app anyway in terms of speed.
-

The android app has always had dodgy permissions, I've never installed it for that very reason.

The Facebook application (whatever the OS) is terrible, has always been terrible, and gives every appearance of always going to be terrible.
They launched a communicator companion app for iOS which made it an order of magnitude worse- which was impressive.
I have, honest to God, no fucking idea what they were thinking when they released that to the market.
