I'll be able to give a better opinion when I pick mine up. But it seems unlikely that they would manufacture a small run of fakes, to sell as slight defects on EBay. Cant imagine you could make money off such a small run.
Went out for a cold, dry, and very very dark ride last night. Fancied trying out all the rapha goodies from xmas. The merino arm and knee warmers are seriously nice. Just the right amount of stretch. The merino skull cap and neck warmers also fit just right. The merino stuff doesnt cut out wind. But once I'd built up some warmth in them. The breeze that did get through was'nt really chilling. I will definitely keep a stock of these merino bits. Worth the money and more IMHO.
I was pretty impressed with the oversocks too. I have oversocks on my road shoes all the time. These fit well and did the job basically.
Looked a complete twat in the pink gilet and oversocks. But I was highly visible to both cars and those without lights. Which felt good after recent events. The pockets on the gilet are nicely done. Every jacket/gilet should have the side access zip pocket.
Did a selfie when I got in. But I'll refrain from posting it. For fear of destroying rapha rep for making asthetically pleasing stuff.
