Done this route a couple of times, and its ace. Would highly recommend the train out of london, as those roads are junk anyway!

- 1 for the braker route. Doable on about 70 GI and some lovely lanes. Optional canal towpath at the end.

That road you've plotted after Marlborough is quite a busy one, I think you'd be better off dropping down and taking the smaller roads past bath. Like the above link shows, it is fine to ride on but not really ideal and you get awesome views on the smaller road.

This route is all you need. I've ridden it twice (to Bath) and by far the best long rides I've been on, this route is simply the tits.

Hi guys,
Am in need of some advice - am plotting a route for a group of cyclists from London to Bristol for a few weeks time.
Here's the route I've plotted:
http://connect.garmin.com/course/5407368
Haven't cycled this before and wondering what you think of it? Will be at least 30 cyclists so want to make sure it's a good one
Thanks,
Sophie
