Oh good, the driver have been checked by the medic, my heart was in my mouth thinking he need to go to the hospital.
-
• #4
Wonder if he had his eyes checked?
And described as an 'accident'. Daily Mail - you do not disappoint.
-

Should have more than eyes checked at age 76. A questionable age to be driving given reaction time, physical speed to be able to avoid accidents, mental speed to assess situation etc,.

Getting squashed by cars, makes you thinner and taller - winner all around
-

Dunno what happened in this case but if you're hit from behind you go straight down and if the driver still fails to notice you go under. i don't think there would be many smaller cars that have a body height clearance underneath..

this is why we need more 4x4s on the road. He could have just dusted himself down and got on with his business.

Good serves him right, I wouldnt get in a car without a seat belt, crumple zones and a NCAP rating, yet these idiots get on our roads without insurance, road tax and expect a plastic helemt to protectr them, Thse roads are for cars NOT idiots on cycles, these arrogant fools think cars should move aside for them, Wrong, stay off our roadsStandard Daily Fail reader response......

His spelling and grammar make me feel a deep sense of respect for him.
I go to Winchester regularly, it would make me very happy to meet DaveInHants, I could express my admiration of him.

I definitely do not, I'll admit I do know a fair few people that read the Mail and believe it to be a factually correct tabloid not a broadsheet piece of comedy :(

Looks like the mail just stole the story from the local rag, lazy journalism on their part as usual.
Either way glad he was ok.

When it says "by Daily Mail reporter" it means taken from PA copy or any other source. They are such dicks they can't even credit the agency or publication.
I don't know if this has been posted but worth checking out the link
