Old Explorer?

I love the old explorer. I'm visiting a shop at lunchtime to look at some/waste their time.

It's the only one I really love and would own (with a brown leather strap). None of the others really do it for me for same reason as SimonAH.

^^^^ I think it's slightly tacky. Especially the broad arrow which replaces the "A" in "Stealth". Sort of thing I'd expect to see on a Chinese watch.

my jewler friend ceramicises rolexs, metal straps are a bit ov a bugger as the ceramic finish can make them thicker, causing strap stiffness
he had a gold one with a mad emerald and got the work from Garrard as they refused to do it to a Rolex, so he now gets a fair bit of custom work
