Full disclosure: I didn't pay for my Mambas. I would like them to be a little lighter too. I wouldn't want them any stiffer as I can travel with these and not have to carry extra trainers, which is a big plus IMO. I know some like super stiff shoes for polo but I'd rather be able to run to a tap-out if necessary and be able to get some grip when falling. [insert Jono bambi-slide compilation here] My pair have lasted very well over the past year and I'd think I could get at least another six months out of them – 18 months on a pair of polo shoes is pretty good IMO (I did change the laces at six months).
