The rest of the groupset you mention is Shimano Sante, coveted by some. "Introduced after the Aero style components in the mid 1980s, Sante was positioned below Dura Ace and above Ultegra 600. This group was intended to be a stylish semi Pro level package."

The bike looks excellent. I would give it an overhaul, stick some tanwalls and decent pedals on it but otherwise wouldn't change a thing and just ride the hell out of it. Saddles are always personal but in my experience white ones quickly get dirty and look poor.
