I don't reckon so.
I know Cav's form in the first week of the TdF has always been a bit shaky, but this is his last chance at the yellow jersey for at least a few years. I reckon he's of the right mind to find the finish line on stage one and OPQS will be happy to entertain that. I also reckon he stands a good chance on the Champs Elysees as well. The other sprinters and their teams have done a lot of catching up on Cav and the old Columbia style but Renshaw is coming back and that could make a lot of difference.
As for Froome? It's hard to gauge his chances of successfully defending his title but a crash out in week 1 seems very unlikely. He's a far better rider than that.
