For Sale: Focus roadie 2012

  • Hi all,

purchased this in October with the thinking of keeping it all nice and wrapped up until the summer but recent purchase of the turbo kind means I'm going to sell this.

Frame size is 54cm square (centre to centre TT, centre to top BB)

It's been ridden maybe 100 or so miles since brand new (as you can see from the condition of tyres, chainrings etc). This bike has never seen a wet road in it's entire life, nor has it been washed down, just cleaned after each use with a micro-fiber and auto polish. I have not worked on this bike myself, all work has been done by a professional mechanic including lubing of drive-chain with quality lube, indexing gears and setting up brakes. Possibly the stiffest bike I have ever ridden, so fast and intact on the climbs, much stability on the decent with braking power that will match most high spec disc brakes..

This bike is an absolute treat to ride, probably the nicest bike I've ever owned, SRAM red is so crisp and smooth, superb.

I've upgraded the skewers to titanium/carbon, saddle to SLR and seatpost to cannondale CAAD carbon post plus BBB stem and fizik microtex tape. Pedals not included

    Spec:

    . 2012 Focuz Izalco with 3T forks
    . Focus carbon headset
    . Ceramic BB30 BB
    . SRAM force chainset
. SRAM red shifters, front and rear mech
. SRAM red calipers with Koolstop pads
. KMC something or other chain, extremely light and strong
. Jagwire outer cables (looking like it has Kevlar/carbon woven in?)
. Easton EA50 clincher wheel-set (perfectly true, I run the brake pads maybe 1/2mm from the rim with no rubbing)

This has taken my ages to type out on an iPad so please feel free to PM if you have any questions.

The frame does have a few very small marks which I have photographed.

    1. small chip on the rear stay, some idiot dropped a allen key on it (cough)

    2. small chip to the actual carbon and a little bit of paint removed on the other side from where the cabling comes out

    3. very very small chip in the paint

I'm fairly limited on time at the moment for some proper outdoor pictures but this thing is a real beast, super fat head-tube, skinny seat stays, chunky downtube

I'd ideally like to keep it whole but if you're interested in any parts and so are others I'd be happy to split, but please don't PM me if you're just after the stem or something...

RRP of this bike is £2500. I'm looking for £1650 posted but I'm open to offers.
