Campag. They match the gruppo and the P-X ones would only work aesthetically on a Tron bike.

On my weenie bike I've got the Planet X CNCs, and being single pivot you do notice the difference. Being a weenie build I don't mind too much, but I suppose it matters what you want from your bike.

^That. If stopping is one of your parameters.

Everyone tells me the PX ones are crap.
But they suit my needs well enough (light and look good, with decent stopping power)
Though I'd be tempted to shell out the extra score and go Campag

Stopping is on the top of the list :-) !
It seems to be unanimous.
I searched the forum for a used pair of Campag skeleton Calipers with no luck.Merlin seem to be offering the best rate for new ones (including shipping to Cyprus).

these might be about period to your group. Anybody who can tell what year they are?

Thanks for sharing Dron !
I prefer to go for new Chorus. The increase in cost is incremental (€20) and new is new (fresh springs, pads, warranty...)

I have a set of the forged PX brakes and I am forever readjusting them. They go off centre very easily.

Thanks for sharing. The Merlin dual/mono are £90 BNIB. The dual/dual are out of stock but they would be £103. Merlin ships for £6 whilst an ebayer would probably need to charge £10 - £15.
I made an offer to the seller for less.

Don't worry about Hippy, he won't be sober until mid-Feb. at the earliest.
When I pull the pin on my leg-grenades, shit gets busy quick fast in a hurry; a single pivot "speed modulator" at the rear, means I'm less likely to lock-up when I grab a handful.
Your back wheel is like a lover: treat it gently, or you'll get your face slapped...

Greetings to the Forum
Looking to replace the calipers on my Fondriest X-Status and currently considering the following two options (both in black):
Campag Chorus Skeleton
http://www.merlincycles.com/campagnolo-chorus-skeleton-brake-calipers-dual-mono-pivot-pair-55977.html
vs.
Planet X CNC Ultra Light
http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BCPXULCNC/planet-x-ultra-light-cnc-brake-calipers
I run a Campag 10sp Record/Chorus Carbon Group with Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR wheels (pre exalith).
Planet X would mean that I will be bastardising my group but seem to offer more bang for buck.
What do you think??
