  • They're back at Bushy Shepherds. Yay.

  • The one's at Holborn looked awfully lonely this morning, I even considered jumping the lights so they would have someone to talk to until I noticed someone on a single speed had already done just that.

Seriously tho, there were more police there than cars, vans, buses and bikes put together, how little attention must he have been paying to get himself caught?

  • They were all around Tooting again this morning, even though it was only supposed to be a pre-Xmas initiative. Yet more Met LIES!

  • didn't see anybody from se6 to soho

  • didn't see anybody from se6 to soho

  • Apart from once on the off chance that they were walking past haven't seen any police at junctions whatsoever , they put leaflets on bikes outside twickenham police station though

  • They were at the Kingsland Road/Balls Pond Road junction this morning. Had a chat with a PCSO at the lights who said they're there until the higher-ups decide otherwise, so maybe it's a borough thing now? Didn't see them anywhere else on the ride in though.

  • Cycle Cops at the junction of Lillie Rd and Fulham Palace Rd. Last evening 18.40 ish.
They looked cold and sullen, it struck me as an odd time to be covering this junction as I and I seemed to be the only one out.

  • Unless I'm jumping to conclusions, seemslike the result of the recent blitz is that way more drivers than cyclists got fined!
    http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/england/london

"Since the beginning of Operation Safeway on 25 November, a total of 13,818 fines have been issued, with 4,085 given to cyclists."

  • I don't know how much you can conclude about any of this from the data, was my first thought. You would want to look at percentage of traffic for cars vs cyclists, but I suspect there was uneven enforecement of violations, etc.

  • Police have seemed to have multiplied over the holidays, loads of coppers on the south side of london bridge. Probably trying to keep us heathens out

  • ^ correct me if im wrong but i thought the Needle represented the history of cutting traitors heads off and placing them on a spike for those coming from the south into london.

Wow! that's a lot of cash money, lets hope it goes to the right people and not a bunch of share holders.

    and at Angel
    and at Shoreditch
    and Aldgate
    and Tower bridge

    Busy busies

  • I thought policing of the trail month would have been finished by the start of 2014 but I stand corrected, tons on commercial road this morning and the usual of in Shoreditch and city road area.

  • Apparently now to continue until end of week. Or, until Boris crunches the numbers and works out how much revenue he chalked up over the last month.

  • Couple of PCSOs looking bored at Angel this morning.

Last night at Kingsland Rd/Balls Pond Rd junction two PCSO pedal bobbies and one standing by the side of the road all missed a bus power through a light that had been red for about 5 seconds.

  • Can't remember not seeing cops at the leisure centre lights in Lewisham AM or PM for weeks now.

  • Sheppubushu Hai!

    Kingu Krossu Hai!

  • out in force this morning in wimbledon

none on the way back in the evening

  • Kingu Krossu Hai!

One driver was so overwhelmed by the Kingu Krossu hi-vis wombles this morning, he stopped at a green light and stayed there despite frantic hi-vis womble-arm waving. I LOLd.

  • The police have been at the top end of putney high street for the last week or so
    Looking ever so bored

  • loads of roz on the bus only bus lane at bloomsbury way. they seemed to radio my illegal presence ahead to some colleagues but i turned off towards the museum before reaching those who were to greet me.

  • Weather seems to be keeping them off the streets this week.

  • SB, KX and an operation on Uxbridge Road this morning pulling over cars - not sure what for. Maybe lic. and insurance checks or something.

  • Coming down the Outer Circle at Hanover Gate, Old Bill parked up sneakily catching the obligatory RLJ'ers.
So glad it was green when I came through it as it's one I tend to skip most mornings

    Watch out
