Hi Everyone,
Got my bike nicked last night from the bike cage at work (which they cut open)
Pic here ( taken by former owner)
http://s750.photobucket.com/user/davoglasgow/media/8483306947_397a7cd9a2_zpsc0645273.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0It was a Red 58cm 2011 Langster Pro. Same as pic except pedals changed to black mongoose mtb pedals and shallower drop road bars attached and Planet X stem. CCTV shows two guys dressed as commuter cyclists doing the deed just like the guys above. If people could keep an eye out I'd really appreciate it
Also stolen was my friends 2010 Giant Defy 1 which, belive it or not had campy zonda wheels and full 2012 Sram Red group set lol....and my GF's white Specialized Vita Sport. Will post pics when they send them to me.
Thanks!

My bike wasn't stolen but 2 weeks ago around 3am i caught a shifty bastard trying to steal both my wheels, i always lock my bike outside my house at the end of Gt Ormond street on my front railings but i forgot to lock my wheels with my cable that night so he managed to unbolt the rear wheel and as he attempted to undo the front one he made too much noise and i heard him i looked out of my window and saw a tall white man with a long black jacket and white tracksuits but as i grabbed my baseball bat and ran to my front door the lanky fucker had fucked off i screamed at him but decided not to chase him as he didn't manage to take anything. i usually stay awake during the night as i work every other night so i purposely left my wheels unlocked and staked out for a few nights waiting for his return but he never did, but last week some bastard nicked my guard and in its place i was using a large pepsi bottle this morning i awoke to find that gone too!!!

Bastards. I can never keep my bike locked up alone at night. I guess I'm lucky to have the luxury of taking my bike in with me.

Profile CBX carbon Tri Bars
Shimano r500 wheelset
ISM Adamo Time Trial Saddle
Shimano Ultegra GroupsetMust be a pretty unique combination of gear, so if anyone sees it, please let me know.

It was in East Greenwich, near Westcombe Park. Well, it probably isn't any more....

Damn that is terrible, what were the circumstances of the theft?

Pulled the door off a wooden bike shed, then cut the D-Link cable and lock to remove the bike.

Bike thieves in Tolmer Square just now.
Have seen these guys cruising around Fitzroy Square and Charlotte St area always together and always in full nodder wear and wearing full face balaclavas cruising past bike stands checking out bikes. Backpacks full of tools.
Smart fucking bastards.
These boys again last night Thursday riding south over Waterloo Bridge at 5.05pm with another guy on an MTB all in commuter kit and balaclavas.
They peeled off left down the ramp to Upper Ground and went straight to the bike racks outside National Theatre. These boys are serious city-wide operators.

Hi everyone
This afternoon my bike was stolen from the junction of Carnaby Street and Great Marlborough Street (between 2.30 and 5.15). It's an 80s Vitus Tri-Sport frame (British Eagle tubing), white overall with a red front and light blue back. Single speed, polished ali drop handlebars and a white Turbo saddle. It's very recognisable I think.
If anyone sees it around there would be a substantial reward. This was my pride and joy, can't describe how upset I am at the moment.

Does anyone know if this troublesome twosome have been caught? could try and do some covert operation and try and film them/catch them in the act, i've seen some guys in commuter gear around angel (saddlers wells theater) looking very shifty and trying locks with what looked like an angle grinder, however i was on bike and in a confrontation with a taxi at the time so had no time to scare them off...

Spotted something well shifty today! A guy looking like your stereotypical criminal and acting very odd, excited and nervously indeed. He was wheeling a bike that didn't look like it belong to him while doing "toolless on-to-go" adjustments to it.
Lo and behold one minute after passing him I see a police vehicle approaching me casually! I wave them down, but if the guy above acted oddly, it is nothing to how they acted!! Their idea of bravely fighting the crimes seems to drive by while stare hard and rubbernecking a person trying to wave them down without turning around or stopping. Then again what do I know about police work? Maybe they go special psychic training now days?
I somehow doubt the original owner is on his forum, but with a little luck maybe the person will find this in his/her search. I know I'm being vague but I figure it be better than nothing.
Time: approx 16.30-17.00
Location: Brixton. "Suspect" walking south down Effra Road (from Brixton, towards Tulse Hill) then turning left/east into Brixton Water Lane.
Bike: Back or dark. Modern frame shape of some type (not a traditional diamond shape that is, seen Trek in similar shapes), could not identify the type but could be town, hybrid, mtb or something else (wheels looked like town bike wheels). Strightbars / raisers. Threadless headset. Multi gear. Shimano MTB spds.
"Suspect": Young white guy. Average hight or slight shorter. Looked like your stereotypical criminal. Youngish, probably below 20. Worn looking streetwear, red/white jacket, hood up, trainers or sneakers with thick soles (guessing no spds there!).

Anyone (else) lost a Marinoni? Just got this up on Gumtree:
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/marinoni-special-columbus-sl-55cm-square-frame-set/1043249838?mpch=ads
It does sound pretty geniune... a fairly sensible price, with details, but just seemed like an odd place to be selling it - and I'm scouting for my purple version that was nicked back in August (http://www.lfgss.com/post3758333.html#post3758333) -

Should try and confront those balaclava clad fuckers. Beat the crap out of one with a D lock.
Ed's kinda right. Lucky coincidence that a bunch of people with few (purely sale) or no posts came across a topic which should be in the stolen bikes thread in the first place.
