This is my current 'roller. He is awaiting further changes!
I am pretty sure about a silver/polished wheelset now, but I don`t know what kind of rims I should take for 35c tyres. Deep-Vs or low profile ones?

I'd go box. And make sure you get something that is wide enough to accommodate 35c tyres. If you're going to be using it for a bit of 'cross, then you should look at A23/Archetypes/TB14s. All have a 23mm side rim, which will be far better than using something like an Open Pro with a 35c tyre.

A few days ago, I have finished my rebuilt Steamroller. It felt good so far and I am really looking forward for some offroad experiences!!!

Halo rims, Schwalbe tyres. Aerowarrior & Sammy Slick!

Which Schwalbe's are they? I've got a hankering to go off road a bit. Also, your steamroller makes my panties wet.

Sammy Slick, like the man said.

Pretty good tyres imo. Rolling nice, great cornering!

Nearly hit the "buy" button, then realised they wont fit. Stuck with 28c max.

Really love the bike! Been out cyclocrossing a few times yet, great stuff! Last time I had a small accident as I skidded down a leaf covered single trail without having any grip to brake. I wonder if any other 35c tyre might provide more grip than Sammy Slicks? Any suggestions?

^ very good choice, I have them in my cx bike. Not lightweight, but very good in mixed conditions.
About one and half a year ago I bought a large Steamroller frame and built up my first fixed gear bicycle. Ever since I tried to make it more trackish and ended up with this setup:
Nevertheless, the Steamroller isn`t meant to be a true trackbike and every now and then I realized it when riding fast around the city. I got pedal strike more than once and wanted something more nimble. Now, after I got a really nice Goldsprint track frame, I want the 'roller to be set up as a perfect all around bike for commuting and light cyclocross.
At the moment, I am thinking about good 35c tyres and a fitting fixed/free wheelset in either black or silver polished. Both should fit to my idea of a balanced relation of price and performance.
