Nope. We intend to be there at 9:00 - that was the assembly time last year, and the year before.
I dont think I particularly feel like hanging around for very long waiting for the traffic to appear. Part of what makes this ride great is having the city empty for a while and enjoying the space of it.
Just leave your house earlier and show up earlier. You can ride around the city with cars and buses all around you the other 364.5 days of the year.
