it'd be good if we can get going by 9.15 or so, tis cold waiting at Oxford circus, and it's nice to ride around before traffic and pedestrians start appearing around 10am.
In the past people have got there about 8;30 and we've set off very shortly after 9

Weather is looking good, looking likely I'll spin down from far east! =)

^ You've moved then! Enjoying Stratford?

Nope still in Beckton town! The future will be there in a few years time! :)

I'm going to be riding in from Lewisham if anyone wants to join me from SE London?

cool, that'd be great. two years ago we didn't leave until 9.30 and we'd been going for about ten seconds on regent street when we stopped for another ten minutes for a puncture...
-
• #59
9:30-10 would be great, allowed those who love far away ample time to get to oxford street
-
• #60
Just get up a bit earlier. There's no traffic so your ride will be shorter. By 10am there are taxis and cars driving around, spoiling the atmosphere.

You've been watching too many dark dystopian sci-fi films

I'm going to attempt to cycle the whole lot. I'm coming in from the Very Far East and leaving around 7.30 am. I expect to be spotted and then overtaken because I am so slow.
Bit worried about if I get a puncture because I won't be able to fix it, (I still can't move my left shoulder properly), and I will end up walking 10 miles home in the cold and rain (though the forecast keeps changing).
But SO looking forward to this x

I'm riding in from way south to check out deserted Xmas day London. Aim to be there and heading back out by 8:30 but it'd be nice to say hi to anyone there early.

Just found out that the family stuff is happening on Boxing Day instead. In, sounds like a great way to do Christmas.
ToastyOneUK, I'll probably be coming through Lewisham. PM coming.

I'd hope to be at the start of OKR at about 8:30. That's enough time to get to Oxford Circus right? I'll PM you my number.

This was a classic, regent street sounded like a bomb went off with that puncture...

I've got a pump, 15mm spanner and tyre levers with me for anyone that falls into difficulty.
See you at 9am. Hope it stays dry...
^ 12.5 miles is just right to get you warmed up. Then the same mileage to warm down, win-win
