I can't make it this year, as I'm working (joys of a hotel...) But the bonus of that is the café I work in will be open, so I thought I'd pass that on, in case anyone fancies a tasty coffee post-ride. (Bulldog Edition, in the Ace Hotel on Shoreditch High St)
(Not intended as an advert, just thought it might be nice to see some friendly faces!)Sad and happy news both!

Greetings folks,
There is competition this year from our lovely friends at Rapha.
Apparel - ently they are doing a festive ride at 10 am
http://www.rapha.cc/london?cmmmc=email--161213--textlink--ccldnAnd I quote '' Wednesday 25th December
‘Nord Londres’ Loop – Join Cycle Club manager Monty and his Christmas guests. A 10am start allows you to open up those brand new Grand Tour Shoes and fix some cleats before heading out for an enjoyable loop around north London. This route is a winter training favourite for Cycle Club staff.''Let us wish them well.
Peace and love to all,
Tim -

Last year was EPIC. Short and wet. Ending with the bedraggled bunch storming the only open coffee shop in the City of London and Al fortifying the flat whites with some sort of almond liqueur.
Long range forecast for this year is...

Would love to join this, but not sure if I'll be able to get away. Provisionally in.

Greetings folks,
Just a quick bump / plug for this ride.....
It is one of the best rides of the year. It's worth it just to see Oxford Circus completely deserted...
Hope to see you on the start line.
Peace and Love to one and all...,

I think I'm up for this as never done an Xmas ride before. Is there any sort of route or is it more of a random thing around the central London streets? If it is random I take it that it will just finish when it finishes no set time or anything?

So it's that time again: Nine am Oxford Circus for a ride around London's famous London at it's quietest. This ride is for those who have no family or are able by dint of massive prevarications to briefly escape theirs...Who's in? I'll muddle along if wanted...
Digswoops - i should have read it propper like!

it'd be good if we can get going by 9.15 or so, tis cold waiting at Oxford circus, and it's nice to ride around before traffic and pedestrians start appearing around 10am.
^you'll be on my way home, so I might drop in.
