Hello, sir.
I'm an old school engineer in the US, and have been searching for an HX-20 with the gear you show. I'd be thrilled to give them a good home, and was genuinely hoping you would accept a donation with enough money added in to ship. I recognize it's not a typical pickup, but I thought... for the love of the equipment... that I might reach out and ask, anyway.
Thanks kindly for your consideration.

I will look into the costs of shipping it all to the US.
I suppose it depends how much it weighs when all packed up. The package as a whole is pretty heavy so it might be over the 2kg limit for airmail. The power supplies will of course be for 240 volt.
The TV modulator will be for PAL as well. (I don't know how these things work and I don't think I have ever hooked it up to my TV, so whether it can work with NTSC is anyone's guess.) -

Hiya,
This stuff is long gone I'm afraid, shipped off, not to America (too heavy) but to an enthusiast in the West Midlands.
I probably ought to have updated this thread...

So I have to make a visit to the West Midlands...

Let's start with finding a ship sailing away from "Hoek van Holland" -

What do we have here? Some retro computers for the geeky hobbyist!
These are not necessarily working. That's why they are free.
First up, a Sega Game Gear. Complete with TV adapter, power supply, padded case and 4 games (Sonic, Columns, Ariel the Little Mermaid and Slider)
This used to work. I haven't tried it in ages. I seem to recall that the sound stopped working. Worth a gamble at £0.00, surely. The TV is obviously useless now that analogue has been switched off, but it has an AV in so you can actually plug in a freeview box, XBox 360, etc and still use it.
**Gamegear now GONE **
Next up is a Sinclair QL, with strange big spike-protecting plug on the power supply.
I know nothing about this, it was left in a box outside my flat. I've tried it and something happens. If you wiggle things about it is possible to make something appear on the TV, but other than that I assume it's spares only. Still it looks kind of cool.
Finally we have an example of the first laptop computer. An Epson HX20 in great condition.
I've powered this bad boy up and it actually works. Has loads of extras, including a big silver thing you attach to the side, which may be extra RAM or something, a bar code scanner pen, a hard plastic carry case, a power supply, a TV modulator so you don't have to rely on the tiny screen, a thermal roll printer (also includes a built in till receipt type printer), a word processing ROM, and lots of cables and things. I have no idea what you can actually use one of these for, but there appears to be a scene of some sorts and these go for £20-£60 on Ebay. However as I got it for free (also in the box left outside my flat) I'm giving it away for free. Play with it, sell it and buy bike bits, whatever.
I'd prefer to dispense with all three things at once, but if you desparately only want the QL then fair enough.
Pick up from Bow/Hackney wick.
