Milton Keynes. Redways that havent been resurfaced in 25 years. With a direct westerly behind me across the villages , past Cranfield into Bedford. With its new by passes and obligatory cycle paths either side of roundabouts that end within metres completely surperflous.
Coffee in Bedford Piazza with same faces from ten years ago all Italian and then best bit of Bedford riverbank and Victoriana.
Out onto sustrans 51 west east old railway into moody skies after the clear sun.banged it out dual panniers full of xmas crap for family, onto train station at Sandy for the fens.
Roll on boxing day canter race im not feeling the festering season but it is all about the ride.
